The Sensitivity Score Test
The part of you MBTI never catches - how sensitive are you, really? ยท 18 questions ยท Free
Two people with identical MBTI types can live in completely different sensory worlds. One ENFP hears nothing but the person they're talking to; another reads a whole afternoon off the way a sentence trailed off. Personality type tells you how someone spends their energy โ it says almost nothing about how much signal is coming in to begin with. Sensitivity runs on its own axis, and this test measures that axis on its own.
HSP: sensitivity as a trait, not a flaw
In the 1990s the psychologist Elaine Aron set out the idea of the Highly Sensitive Person (HSP), estimating that 15โ20% of people process incoming information more deeply than everyone else. The key point is that it isn't about having sharper eyes or ears โ it's about processing what arrives more deeply and for longer. Sit two people in the same meeting and one remembers what was said, while the other stores the tremor in the voice, where people were looking, and the exact moment somebody shifted in their seat. More accurate readings, and a much emptier tank by evening.
High sensitivity isn't an advantage or a defect. It's closer to running high-gain equipment. What causes trouble isn't the gain itself โ it's running at that gain without knowing you are, at everyone else's pace.
Five directions, eighteen questions
The test looks at sensitivity along five lines: sensory response to noise, light, smell and clothing seams; emotional pickup, how quickly you absorb the mood around you; recovery cost, how flat you run after time with people; detail capture, catching micro-shifts in tone and expression; and self-review, how long a finished conversation keeps replaying. Eighteen statements on a four-point scale, converted to a score out of 100.
Five levels โ where do you land?
Bulletproof (0โ20), where barely anything gets through. Quick Shrug (21โ40), who notices and then puts it down. Quiet Catcher (41โ60), who looks unbothered and catches everything. Fine-Tuned (61โ80), picking up detail nobody else registers. And Full Radar (81โ100), antenna always on. Your result covers what the score actually means, the strengths it comes with, where it shows most, and who you're easy โ and hard โ to be around.
Two minutes, no account
Nothing to sign up for and nothing stored. Answer eighteen statements, get your score immediately, share it with one link. This is entertainment rather than a clinical measure โ a way of putting your own gain on a single dial. That said, if sensitivity is genuinely making daily life hard, or a flat stretch has run for weeks rather than days, that's worth talking through with someone you trust or a professional.
If being sensitive is what wears you out most, the Stress Level Test and the Burnout Test sit right next to this one. For how much of other people's feelings you absorb, try the Empathy Test.
