"I heard ENFP and ISTJ never works โ is that actually true?" Compatibility is the argument that breaks out roughly ninety seconds after MBTI comes up. This one skips the questionnaire entirely: choose your type, choose theirs, and you get a match score together with a read on all four axes โ where the two of you run on the same wavelength, and where you'll need a translator.
What each axis says about a pair
Do you look at the world through the same lens (S/N)? Does your energy top the other person up or quietly drain them (E/I)? What happens when one of you leads with logic and the other leads with how it felt (T/F)? Can a planner and an improviser survive one weekend together (J/P)? Each axis gets its own verdict. Partners, crushes, flatmates, colleagues, your manager โ any two types can go in, and the result travels as a single link.
Hold it loosely
MBTI compatibility is folklore, not science: popular lore built up over years of people comparing notes, with no research standing behind it. A low score is not a warning label โ plenty of the best pairings are ones a chart would have talked you out of. Don't know your own four letters yet? Start with the Quick MBTI Test, or take the 44-question version if you want to be certain before you go comparing.
