Self-Discipline Test
How well-organized is your daily life? ยท 8 questions ยท Free
Korean has a word for the aspirational version of a well-run day: gatsaeng, a mash-up of "God" and "life," used for the person up at 5am with the workout done and the to-do list already half crossed off. Every language has its own flavour of this โ 5am club, that one friend with the colour-coded planner โ and every version of it produces the same nagging question. Everyone else seems to have their days together. Where exactly am I?
This eight-question test scores the ordinary machinery of a day: when you get up, how you keep track of what needs doing, whether you move your body, whether the thing you said you'd learn ever got started, and how the phone factors into all of it.
What your result looks like
You land somewhere between Free Spirit and Discipline Master, with a short read on your current setup and one specific next step sized to where you are. Not a whole new lifestyle โ the next step, which is the only kind anyone ever actually takes.
Worth saying plainly: a rigorously optimized day isn't the correct way to live, and plenty of very good lives are run on improvisation. Treat this as a mirror rather than a scoreboard, and take the direction more seriously than the number.
